Monday November 24th

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

Every year we always go see me cousins in St Louis or they come here, and this year lucky me we get to go there AKA i don't have to do that dishes. I would probably say these are the cousins i'm closest to, which is fun because there's 4 boys and for me i just have my sister so it's like having 4 brothers whenever were with them and its way more fun because all we do is mess around like were all 10 again. We always eat around 5 and get donuts in the morning but one of the boys always ends up sneaking into the kitchen and stealing something before 5. We always have turkey and ham, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry relish, sweet potatoes, corn souffle, rolls, and oh course many pies and other random stuff for dessert. Even though i'm not really into thanksgiving food it's still fun to be around everyone and realize everything that's just handed to us in life that we overlook way too often.

Wednesday November 19th

Go out and look up a what all goes on a resume website. What can you find? Include an example image if possible.

I didn't really find any "individually" created websites, but I found resumes created and put on websites. They are more "full" due to the two people having more life experience and education than I have as of right now, but they both include good examples of skills. They both have name, their skill sets, work experience, education, expression of their style based on the creativity of their layout, and photographs they've edited.

Tuesday November 18th

Define 'User Experience'. What does it mean and how does it relate to web design?

To me, user experience is the knowledge you gain due to being submerged and around something for a long period of time it can almost become second nature. According to Google it is defined as "the overall experience of a person using a product such as a website or computer application, especially in terms of how easy or pleasing it is to use." So with knowing the real meaning, I would say that it relates to my everyday life when using or going on Instagram; I always have good experiences with it and therefore continue to g on it daily and consider one of my top 3 favorite social medias.

Consider the quote below. What exactly do you think it means and how does it relate to Web Design?

It relates to web design in the way of when you create, or design something you are not only designing it in the way you want it to look but also the way your are designing it in the way of how it works and is seen by others. When you change a color for your font or background you not only are making it appealing to yourself or to others viewing it, yet your are designing a website and internally changing it. 

Wednesday November 12th

Reflect on your learning this semester so far in this class. Think about the first day you walked in to this room until right now. What have you learned about Web Design? What have you learned beyond Web Design? Explain yourself.

I have learned a background of CSS and HTML that has enabled me to be able to create a simple to mediocre website about myself and about something in interested in. I have learned that there is way more to creating and coding a website than meets the eye and all the components adding up to a finished website include a lot of different aspects of information. I've also learned that in correlation with life, in this class, you get out what you put in.

1.FTP-
A network custom used when transferring files on a computer from one person to another over the internet. (Google)

2.Web Server-
A program used in HTTP that uses files forming web pages to those that use the web. (Google)

3.Web Hosting-
A business giving storage space and entry to for websites through the web (Google)
          EX: Weebly and GoDaddy (PC Magazine)

Monday November 3rd

Tell me about your weekend. Give me details and photos!

I had a really fun weekend. I didn't go to school on Friday because SENIOR SKIP DAY! Thursday night I went the game and the haunted houses downtown. Friday I dressed up myself and my dog Taffy.  Then all my friends and i went to a party and had a good time. This Halloween was definitely the wickedest night I've ever experienced. Then Saturday I just hung out with Alyssa and we watched movies and drove around. Then Sunday I finished all my homework, very exciting, went to church, and then usual 801 chophouse after 5:00 mass.
