My weekend was pretty awesome. Both nights i hung out with friends and it was a good time. Friday we went to the game and cheered the whole game, i almost lost my voice which was fun. Then Saturday i hung out with my sister because she's on fall break and then had some friends come over that night. Sunday as always i enjoyed a wonderful evening at work...

What kind of background do you have with Photoshop? Have you used it before? What other types of design and editing software have you used before? Explain.

I have only used Photoshop once when i was doing my all about me website to crop pictures in order for them to fit on the screen. I normally just use word when cropping pictures so I don't use many design and editing programs. The only ones i have used would be all the programs used during Computer Applications 2 years ago. I tend to catch onto computer stuff easily though so i hope it won't be to hard.

My awesome Photoshop skills (i only cropped it...)

Below is a letter written to the editor who wrote the article 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect' that your blogged about last week. Most of you wrote on your blog that you agreed with the writer. What are your thoughts after reading the letter below and seeing a different perspective. Are they the same? Are the different? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

Yes, my thoughts are still the same. Although I partially agree with there being a time and place for a certain attire, i'm not saying there should be no "dress code" i just don't agree with there being a thumb rule and if a 1/2 a centimeter of my stomach is showing I don't really find it to be all that big of a deal. The reason i feel we should express ourselves at school is due to the fact that when we get older and find a job in a  professional workplace we won't be able to wear the clothes we wear now. So that being said i want to live up my young clothing I won't be able to get away with for the rest of my life as much as i can right now.

Monday October 13th

If i designed a curriculum perfect for me it would include math classes that were taught by math wizards like Ortman, Braden, and Ship and Fashion classes for design and marketing so i would decide which one i'd prefer to major in before college starts. I would study math and fashion and possibly create a class incorporating both, h and a psych class for me extracurricular "fun" class. I'd spend my class time in math solving problem/ accelerating my skills and have projects all the time for fashion.  They wouldn't be super different for math but i wouldn't be in science classes/ ELA even though for some reason I've taken 5 science classes since freshman year? Maybe i'd even add a journalism class somewhere in my schedule to help me with a fashion blog and that's one class i wish i would have taken in high school. The main difference is that these are the classes that are most intriguing to me/ provides me with good knowledge to have before go to college and actually start pursing my future career.

Tuesday October 7th

The following article was in the September issue of The Tiger Print. Read the article (even if you already have) and respond to it below. What do you think? Do you agree? Disagree? Consider all perspectives of the article while you respond.

Yes, i do agree with this article. Not only is Riley, the author, one of my good friends, but we also have very similar views. I am also someone that most consider "tall" which equals having a harder time finding dresses and shorts that many consider appropriate, yet on me are "too short." I'm not trying to show off my butt, i'm trying to express myself and the things i like through my clothing. Also, might I add if I ever do have my butt or boobs hang out it's ever an intentional thing, i personally find that uncomfortable, but it just happens that that moment in time my clothing is riding up or whatever, and i'm not 5 i can fix that without being told.  I'm not someone that takes offense to many things, i'm pretty accepting and enjoy various types of people, but when it comes to the SAME teacher who might i add I have NEVER EVEN HAD consistently death glares me and every other day decides to comment on my "inappropriate" clothing it kind of turns personal and annoying. Fashion is what i'm going to college for next year, and therefore is something  am passionate about so yes i have a more edgy style that some may jokingly consider "goth" but honestly i really don't care, i wear what i wear because it's what i like and personally i find it to be something that describes me. So yes i understand why the dress code was put in place to avoid "too much" skin that people don't want to see, but when the cheerleader show up with skirts so short you can obviously see their spandex, i don't think i should be getting in trouble for a half a centimeter of "mid-drift" which lets be honest isn't even a word anymore or because my shorts that completely cover my butt don't reach my thumbs going half way down my legs. All in all i don;t really care that much because in the retrospect of life it isn't a big deal/ i'm leaving for college next year but i do think that it does take away from self-expression and can be demeaning.

Monday October 6th

Tell me about your weekend! If you don't have anything fun to share, tell me about the city you live in. What do you love about Kansas City? Do you have a favorite place in the city? Favorite team? :) Favorite event? Explain.

My weekend was really chill which was good because i haven't caught up on my sleep basically since school started. Friday consisted of driving around, eating food, and watching movie with Kaelen. Then Saturday i slept until 3 because i had to get up and work at 4. After work i hung out with Jamie we got the most amazing twisters of my life and then just hung out around there. Yesterday was pretty lame i had church, i had to write a paper, study vocab words and go to work. It was't a very eventful weekend but it was fun although i am still tired. Oh my favorite place in KC is Westport because i'm obsessed with ATC, It's a Beautiful Day, and it's about 5 minutes from Urban (my 2nd home.)
